After breakfast we begin our tour of The Farm, including stops by a variety of homes that illustrate different examples of green construction.

For example, this energy eficient Deltec home is manufactured at a factory in North Carolina which is totally energy independent.

The modular home is then assembled on site, reducung labor costs.

Our Spiritual Midwifery workshop is a featured part of every Farm Experience.

It provides an opportunity to learn about the history, philosophy and the current operation of the midwifery center, including workshops and training.

The Ecovillage Training Center was set up to provide examples of many different ytpes of alternative technology all in a central location.

See examples of natural building materials and techniques , permaculture design, solar in multiple applications, water collection and treatment and more.

Interns and apprentices often come for extended stays to participate in long range projects, from natural building and organic gardening to video production and web site design.
